Dean Forest Cycle Centre is situated in the Heart of the Forest of Dean offering quality bike hire for all ages, abilities and types of riding, perfectly suited to everyone from the whole family to the seasoned racer. The centre is at the start of the traffic free Family Cycle Trail.

Walking with Wheels provide all-terrain electric wheelchairs (called trampers) for hire at just £2.50 an hour from Forest Holidays at Bracelands Campsite, Christchurch. Specialised guides and other support (written, pictorial or oral including the Hidden Heritage App) is also available to enable people who might otherwise be disadvantaged to enjoy the beauty and heritage of the Forest of Dean.

Cycling Route Planning: The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley provides such varied terrain and scenery - with an extensive network of stoned roads and paths, it is perfect for cyclists of all abilities. Road riders can look forward to winding country lanes and short hill climbs. Families can use the popular cycle paths in the Cannop Valley safely away from traffic, and for keen mountain bikers the downhill Forest tracks provide wild opportunities with an excellent dedicated off-road area

Hereford Guild of Guides

Daily guided walks and booked walks with different themes. The tours last about one and a half hours and are conducted by volunteer members of the Hereford Guild of Guides. The walks start at the main entrance of the Cathedral. There is no need to book in advance but you will need to purchase a ticket prior to joining the walk. We recommend the John Kyrle circular walk and the Hoarwithy circular walk which are the closest to both of our barns.
