Trevase Granary Overview

Trevase Granary was converted in 2007 and is located just five miles north-west of Ross-on-Wye on a working farm. The luxury barn conversion provides comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to eighteen guests in eight en-suite bedrooms including one family room. The property boasts spectacular views of surrounding countryside and is a long-standing Visit England 5-star gold award winner.

Trevase Granary is arranged over three floors designed with luxury, comfort and modern living in mind.

The ground floor has five bedrooms (one twin, two kings and two twins or superking rooms) and each room is en-suite (four showers and one roll top bath). The twin room (‘Cider Room’) with wrought-iron single beds is our charming Family Suite with two comfortable day-beds suitable for children (although many hen parties have utilised the extra beds). This room has a large wet-room making it ideal for a less able guest (find out more about accessibility). The staircase to the first floor is beautifully crafted from oak and fitted with a stairlift.

The first floor has ample kitchen, dining and living space with stunning views at each window including uninterrupted views to the Black Mountains. The open plan lounge with Smart TV and dining room has large leather sofas and dining table which easily seats twenty people. The room is full of character with wrought iron light fittings, roof timbers, and a stained-glass window. The kitchen, located just off the dining room, is fitted with hand-made units, central island and is extremely well equipped. Separate state-of-the-art Cinema Room with tiered seating, surround sound, access to Netflix, Sky, Sky Cinema and Sky Sports.

The second floor has three bedrooms (two kings and one twin or superking room) and each room is en-suite (one shower, one bath and one roll top bath). All of the top floor bedrooms have their original 18th century oak A-frame beams, giving the rooms a unique character and charm. The Barn also has a service block, walled garden, games room and hot tub for exclusive use of guests at Trevase Granary.

• Kitchen: large dual fuel Rangecooker, two larder fridges, freezer, microwave, bean to cup DeLonghi coffee machine, George Foreman grill, two dishwashers, two sinks, and all the utensils and gadgets you will need to cater for your party. All the serving dishes, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware you will ever need are provided. A hostess trolley is also provided for keeping dishes warm if extra space is needed.

• Private service block: laundry room (automatic washing machine and clothes dryer) and secure storage (for bicycles, fishing rods etc).

• Games Room and garden: Exclusive use of the Games room set within a secluded walled garden with open views of the Black Mountains. The large oak-framed building which is 25m from the property across a quiet level concrete yard provides:

  • Fully equipped bar with wine cooler, beer fridge, glasses, cocktail accessories/recipes & ice bucket.
  • Indoor Hydrotherapy Jacuzzi hot tub that can accommodate up to six adults with bi-fold glass doors that can be fully retracted onto the patio area.
  • Wall-mounted Smart TV, Xbox 360, WiFi, Music Centre (with Bluetooth connectivity)
  • Kitchen area with fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
  • Some indoor seating and tables.

• Coarse Fishing Lake is located about 500 metres from the Granary and is stocked with carp, bream, tench and other silver fish. Guests must provide their own fishing equipment and licence to fish in Andy's lake. Day fishing is complimentary.
