Dining In and Eating Out
 |
Part of the attraction of a self catering holiday is the flexibility to eat what you want when you want, but that needn't mean you have to do all the work yourself. Here are some ideas to help.
On-line Shopping
Shop on-line before leaving home at Tesco, www.asda.co.uk, www.waitrose.co.uk or www.sainsburys.co.uk and have your groceries delivered. Use our postal address - Trevase Farm, Tretire, St Owens Cross, Hereford, HR2 8ND - and give our email address for confirmation of the delivery date and time. We will put all your items into the fridge and cupboards ready for your arrival.
Dine In Style
We can arrange the services of a fully trained chef to cook dinner for you using local fresh produce. We can supply a fully catered service, a delivered menu, or a buffet service.
For the first night, why not try www.tapasinabox.com for ready to eat tapas. The menus and cost for Henrietta can be emailed on request.
For barbecues or roasting joints, packs of Herefordshire meat can be purchased from local sources. We are just three miles from a very well stocked Farm Shop (01989 730430)at Penthley Nurseries on the A49.
Local Pubs, Restaurants and Hotels
There are several excellent places to eat locally, all within no more than five miles of Trevase Granary.
Harewood End Inn (01989 730637) is just one mile away. The pub restaurant is good and reasonably priced.
The Axe and Cleaver (01981 540203) at Much Birch on A49 heading for Hereford 2.5 miles away is also good and reasonable.
The Loughpool at Sellack (01989 730236) is a nice country inn with an award-winning restaurant.
The New Harp at Hoarwithy (01432 840900) is a good local pub for fish dishes.
The Bell at Skenfrith (01600 750235) has an award-winning restaurant.
Glewstone Court Hotel (01989 770367) is a lovely family run country house hotel that is ideal for a family party.
